Ingredients
- Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- Lemon juice from ½ half of a lemon
- Cinnamon spice, as desired
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- ⅓ C. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
How to Bake
- Thaw biscuits in the fridge overnight
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Peel and dice 2 apples
- Add apples to sauce pot with cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, water and cornstarch
- Simmer 20-30 minutes or until the sauce is thick and apples are soft
- Roll out biscuits on floured surface
- Fill with rolled out biscuits with cooled apple mixture
- Fold rolled biscuits into small pies and push a fork on the edges to create a raised texture around the edges
- Brush with butter and bake 25- 30 minutes, until golden brown
